Terms of Service

1. The Service

ResumePeaks provides tools to create, edit, import, score, and export resumes and related career documents, including optional AI-assisted writing and paid plan features. Features may change as we improve the product.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in methods secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service, violate these Terms, or create legal risk.

3. Plans & payments

Free features (such as editing and Compact PDF download, as currently offered) may be used without a paid plan. Paid plans (including Resume Pass and Pro) unlock additional templates, exports, AI usage, or cloud features as described on the pricing page at purchase time. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated at checkout.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of resumes and other content you submit ("User Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display User Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. You represent that you have the rights to the content you upload and that it does not violate others' rights or applicable law.

5. AI features

AI outputs are suggestions only. You are responsible for reviewing all generated text for accuracy, truthfulness, and suitability before sending it to employers. We do not guarantee interview outcomes or job offers.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt infrastructure.
• Do not use the Service to create fraudulent, illegal, or harmful materials.
• Do not scrape, reverse engineer, or resell the Service except as allowed by law.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, branding, templates (as design systems), software, and documentation are owned by the Company or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our IP to you.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the three months before the claim or (b) USD $50.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or prolonged inactivity. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that may apply where you live.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
